NIGS participates in the 2024 Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill

The National Institute of Geological Sciences (NIGS) participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) held on 25 March 2024. This was participated by 57 individuals composed of students, faculty, administrative staff, and project personnel.

Adhering to the drop-cover-hold protocol, personnel and students responded to the simulated earthquake scenario. The researchers serving as marshals, guided the personnel and students to the nearest exits and gathered them at designated evacuation area, ensuring their safety. All marshals were equipped with high-visibility vests, facilitating efficient direction along evacuation routes.
