The National Institute of Geological Sciences (UP-NIGS) held a town hall meeting on 20 January 2025 at the NIGS Multipurpose Room. The meeting focused on administrative and academic processes, discussing the processing flow, forms of documents, and online platforms.
The meeting opened with a discussion on how to log in to the Budget Utilization and Liquidation System Analytics portal and the formal process of ObR/BUR and DV.
The discussion also included the processes and requirements needed for requesting supplies, online repair, vehicle, room reservation, and overnight stay. The process of documents for travel-related purposes was also discussed, including the need to submit a request for authorization.
Additionally, the meeting covered the NIGS’ library processes and requirements for lending, borrowing, and returning of books. The provided library services were also discussed, such as the Ask-a-Librarian, document delivery, purchasing of resource materials, similarity index report, and inter-library loan.
The town hall meeting concluded with an open forum, allowing participants to ask questions, clarifications and provide suggestions.
