NIGS motorpool staff elevates skills through advanced air-conditioning training

The NIGS Motorpool Staff sharpened their expertise in an in-house training session titled, “Advanced Air-Conditioning Techniques: Inverter and Non-Inverter Systems,” held on March 03, 10, and 17, 2024 at the Institute’s Seminar Room. This specialized training aimed to keep personnel abreast of the latest advancements in air-conditioning technology, ensuring they remain up-to-date with industry developments. The training was facilitated by Mr. Mike Gabriel M. Mercado, Aircon Technician Supervisor; and Mr. Arvie Jhay P. Obado, Aircon Technician; of CW Marketing and Development Corporation.

Mr. Mercado and Mr. Obado delved into various topics, including the inverter type air-conditioning unit, comparisons between non-inverter and inverter systems, and the specialized multi-tester functions used for inverter units. They also covered components and wiring diagrams of inverter units, individual diagnostics, error code interpretations, proper reporting procedures, general cleaning, and maintenance protocols. Half of every session was hands-on diagnostics training, followed by a question and answer. The training significantly enhanced the diagnostic skills of the Motorpool Staff, empowering them to swiftly identify and address issues on air-conditioning units. This development underscores the NIGS Administrative Office's dedication to fostering continuous learning among its personnel, an aspect of the Institute's sustainability plan.
