NAST-Philippines Outstanding Young Scientist
Dr. Jillian Aira S. Gabo-Ratio was recognized as Outstanding Young Scientist in the field of Earth Resources Engineering by the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). She will be receiving the award on 13 July 2023. Dr. Gabo-Ratio also serves as the OIC-Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of NIGS.

Asian Scientist 100 for 2023
Dr. Mario A. Aurelio and Dr. Allan Gil S. Fernando are included in this year's list of Asia’s most outstanding researchers. Since 2016, the Asian Scientist Magazine recognizes the region’s best and brightest researchers, highlighting their achievements across a range of scientific disciplines. Dr. Aurelio and Dr. Fernando also serve as the NIGS OIC-Deputy Director for Research and Development, and Quality Assurance Officer, respectively.

NRCP Achievement Award
Dr. Noelynna T. Ramos received this year's National Research Council of the Philippines' Achievement Award in Earth and Planetary Sciences. She received the award last 10 March 2023 during the NRCP's 2023 Annual Scientific Conference and 90th General Membership Assembly at the Philippine International Convention Center. Dr. Ramos also serves as the OIC-Director of NIGS.
