UPCZ Annual Election
During the month of April, the organization conducts its annual election for their coordinating body. Part of the process is the Miting de Avance that was conducted on April 13, 2024. Here, the nominees presented their plans of action for the incoming academic year. All the members of the organization then cast their votes on the same day. The newly elected officers will undergo a turnover period with the outgoing officers before their term next semester.
Groundwater Fiesta
In collaboration with the Philippine Groundwater Society (PGS), Cwm Zena’na traveled to San Pablo City, Laguna to visit the San Marcos Elementary School, where the Batang Pinoy Groundwater Fiesta 2024 was held. This educational event aimed to educate young students about the vital role of water resources in our community and foster an understanding of water conservation. 120 elementary students from different elementary schools participated in the said event. With the help of the members of PGS, the volunteers from our organization served as teachers, engaging in an interactive discussion on the water cycle, wells, lakes, and springs, characteristics, and types of aquifers, and their contamination process. Games were also held during the event to entertain the learners in between classes and to practice their teamwork.
